About us

Brasserie Le Rouge opened on 30 October 2007 in two adjacent buildings that previously housed Pontus in the Green House and Källaren Diana, in Gamla Stan.

Brasserie Le Rouge has 125 seats divided between the dining room, the bar, the lounge and the chambre separée. The dining room is in what was formerly Källaren Diana, while the private dining room, the lounge and the big bar are in the Green House.

The restaurant is thus spread over three floors and 1,200 square metres, with Brasserie Le Rouge entrance on Brunnsgränd 2-4 and Le Bar on Österlånggatan 17.

Lunch is served Monday to Friday, and dinner Monday to Saturday. The bar, like the dining room, is open all nights except Sunday. The many varied spaces that make up the restaurant provide ample possibilities for special arrangements for both large and small groups. The lounge, bar and private dining room in the Green House are particularly well suited to holding meetings, conferences, dinners or cocktail parties.
Gastronomically, Brasserie Le Rouge’s guiding principles are personality, tradition and warmth.

In terms of design as well, Brasserie Le Rouge has opted for a traditional feel. Brasserie Le Rouge is meant to bring a French turn-of-the-century restaurant to mind: a lively, warm, luxurious setting à la Moulin Rouge, with vibrant colours, heavy textiles and plenty of period detail. The bar and lounge live their own lives with varying hosts and DJs. The cocktail list runs to several pages, and a French bistro menu is served.
